How do I find out if a daycare is licensed or if they have a good record?
*Use the KDHE search tool *It's important to do some research before you place your child in daycare. KDHE runs background checks, implements, & oversees health and safety rules. Licensed providers must post their license in their daycare area for clients to see and make all areas the children are allowed to go, accessible to parents as well so check them out. Licensed providers must attend continuing education classes and adhere to many rules to make sure all children are safe. Although licensing is not simple, no system is perfect so if something doesn't seem right, follow your gut!
