One Hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of house you lived in... what kind of car you drove... what your bank balance was...
but what will matter is that you were important in the life of a child.

Hi!  My name is Cerina and I have been a resident in the wonderful city of Derby since September 2011.  I reside with my husband, Brandon and our children, Cydnee and Rowan.  I became a licensed childcare provider and opened my licensed childcare in June 2012.  I transitioned my childcare into a preschool age program in 2014. I love what I do and I have been blessed to work with such amazing children and families!

I have loved working with children for as long as I can remember.  When I was in High School in Wellington, KS, I had the opportunity to attend Sunshine Preschool for School-to-Career.  As soon as I graduated high school in May 2003, the preschool director, Kathy Easterly offered me a position as an assistant teacher.  I really enjoyed working with the preschoolers, so I gratefully accepted.  I decided to move to Wichita sometime later and sadly ended my position there.

My experience has expanded since my time at Sunshine Preschool.  I have worked in three licensed daycare centers, Woodland Lakes Early Learning Center as an assistant teacher/float, Mini Skool as an assistant toddler teacher then a lead toddler teacher, and Junior Junction Daycare as an assistant toddler teacher then lead toddler teacher.  Later I gained more experience by working with older children in public education.  I worked in Belle Plaine as a para for special needs middle school and high school students, and a teacher's aide at Belle Plaine Elementary School.  I have worked with children of all ages; newborn infants to seniors in high school.  I have found my real passion to be working with preschool age children, which is why I have chosen this as my career path!  I would love to be a part of helping your child learn and grow!

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in reference to Cerina White. Ms. White has worked with me at Belle Plaine Elementary School as a teacher aide in my classroom. During this time she was an excellent help in the classroom. She was always friendly and kind to the children. She was a good, consistent disciplinarian. She was a very neat and organized helper. Her appearance and dress were immaculate. Ms. White has chosen to open a home daycare. I believe that these qualities would make her very competent in running her home business.
I would not hesitate to take my child to her daycare. You’ll have excellent supervision of your child while they are in Ms. White’s care. She will be a very responsible daycare provider. You’ll feel EXTREMELY FORTUNATE and have the EASE OF MIND that your child is under Ms. White’s loving care!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Patricia K. Marks
Gr. 2 Teacher, Belle Plaine El., Belle Plaine, KS.
